We typically keep winter tyres until the end of April due to possible snow in the Alps.
Vehicles are also equipped with snow chains, and some models are 4x4.

Are there any delays on the route?
During weekends, especially on Saturdays, routes towards the Alps are very busy.
Delays of 30 to 60 minutes may occur, particularly before major tunnels such as Mont Blanc or Fréjus.
Please also note that tunnels may occasionally be closed overnight for maintenance.
